About Me

I am a passionate music teacher dedicated to providing professional and enjoyable music education to students of all ages. I specialize in teaching multiple instruments, including drum set, guitar, electronic keyboard, and ukulele. My main focus is on contemporary pop music education, helping students master current musical styles, sing-and-play techniques, and stage performance skills. As a former band leader and lead vocalist, as well as an active freelance performing singer, I have extensive experience in live performance and practical music-making. This allows me to provide realistic, hands-on musical guidance, especially for students aiming to perform on stage, join competitions, or pursue a semi/professional path. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree with Honours in Psychology from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Kampar. This academic background enables me to better understand students’ psychological development stages, providing guidance and encouragement tailored to their needs. Whether it’s a child picking up an instrument for the first time or an adult seeking self-healing through music, I can use my psychology knowledge to help them build confidence, overcome learning barriers, and enjoy their musical journey.

Teaching Philosophy & Style

My teaching approach is student-centered, combining basic techniques, rhythm training, ear development, and music theory. I incorporate both pop and classical pieces to make the learning process systematic yet enjoyable. I welcome students of all ages — from toddlers as young as three, to primary and secondary school students, to adults and seniors. I aspire to be more than just a “music teacher” — I aim to be a guide who helps students truly feel and express themselves through music.
